Trying to write a college essay can be daunting. Which story do you tell? How do you talk about your accomplishments without bragging? How do you make an audience care about something so personal to you? Where do you even start?
College essays don’t need to be long, but they usually take time to write. You need time to brainstorm, work through several ideas if needed, get a draft done, and polish it. Ideally, students allow for 4-6 sessions, lasting roughly 75 minutes each, over the course of 2 months.
If you have a story idea, that’s great. But normally, Writing SOS works with students from the very beginning, offering brainstorming exercises that will get to the heart of who you are. Be in touch to get started.
